This slice is delicious and very quick and easy to make
Crunchy Caramel Slice
INGREDIENTS
Base
- 1 cup SR Flour
- 1 cup coconut
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 120g melted butter
- Vanilla to taste
Topping
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tablespoon golden syrup
METHOD
Base
- Sift the flour and add coconut, sugar and vanilla.
- Pour in the melted butter and mix well.
- Press into slice tin. Bake in a moderate oven for 15 minutes.
Topping
- Mix ingredients together in a saucepan. Heat gently until butter has melted, then pour the hot mixture over the hot cooked biscuit base.
- Bake another ten minutes.
- When cool cut into squares.
- For a nice change, top slice with melted dark and milk chocolate (100-150g).
