Ginger Slice
INGREDIENTS
Base
- 120 g soft butter
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- pinch salt
- 60 g brown sugar
- 80 g self raising flour
Icing
- 60 g icing sugar
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- 60 g butter
- 2 tsp golden syrup
METHOD
Base
- Preheat oven to moderate, 180°C. Lightly grease a 20 x 30cm slice pan. Line base and sides with baking paper.
- Mix ingredients well and press into prepared slice pan. Bake in moderate oven for about 25 minutes.
Icing
- Melt ingredients together in a saucepan, mix and pour over slice whilst hot.
- Cut slice while still warm.
