February 2010 Retreat - 'Bug's Life'

Our first retreat for 2010 was held 19-21 February, and a great time was had by all. Thirty ladies came to enjoy the fun and hospitality that Daisy's is becoming well known for. We had great food, great give aways and a class taught by Toni Crane. It was great to see all the happy faces as everyone was leaving and putting their names down for retreats in 2011!! Lots of creating was done, as well as lots of laughter and relaxation. Saturday night's entertainment with singing from Kale and Dale with Kyle on the drums was an added bonus and created a fun party atmosphere for the night. I for one, left feeling inspired and content and looking forward to the next one. As you can see from the picture, the Daisy Girls out did themselves again with their wonderful costumes. The next retreat will have a Mexican theme, so start planning your dress up ideas now!

May 2010 Retreat - 'Mexican Fiesta'

The theme for our second retreat was 'Mexican Fiesta' and was held from the 21 to 23 May. Lots of fun was had and we hope that all the ladies have gone home feeling relaxed and newly inspired. Always lovely seeing the work that is created on these weekends. All the participants seemed to have lots of fun. Many went to have a siesta on the Saturday afternoon, so the night was a long one. The food on Saturday night was delicious and followed the Mexican theme too. Cooked breakfasts greeted everyone in the morning as they streamed in after a (short) night's sleep. Sunday went all too quickly as lunch time hailed that the end of the retreat was near. Barbi spoilt everyone with great goodies in the bags, and little gifts out for everyone on both mornings. Janelle's class was a hit and the added kit in the bag was a lovely bonus too.During meal times it was lovely catching up with old friends and making new ones. Lots of stories were shared, poignant and sad as well as scary and hilarious - thank you to those who open up their hearts to new friends, it's a true blessing to be part of these retreats and see what transpires. We look forward to seeing everyone in August for our next retreat.
