French Onion Soup
METHOD
- 1tblspn olive oil
- 35g pkt french onion soup mix
- 1 large onion
- 4 cups hot water
- brandy
METHOD
- Heat oil in medium sized saucepan
- Add onion and cook for 5-6 minutes
- Add soup mix, hot water and a dash of brandy
- Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer for 5 mins
Slice some french bread, top with grated cheese and chopped herbs. Grill until golden. Serve soup topped with cheese toast, garnish with fresh parsley.
