Ingredients
Base
- 1 cup plain flour
- 125g butter
- 1/4 cup SR flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
Filling
- 400g can condensed milk
- 30g butter
- 2 tblspns golden syrup
- 3 tsp coffee
- 1/3 cup chopped walnuts
Topping
- 1 cup plain flour
- 2 tspn cinnamon
- 125g butter
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
Method
Base
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Stir in sifted flour.
- Mix to a irm dough and press into 25x35cm tin.
- Bake in a moderate oven for 10 minutes
Filling
- Combine ingredients in a saucepan and stir over medium heat till mixture bubbles.
- Stir briskly for 3 minutes then stir in walnuts.
- Spread over base
Topping
- Sift dry ingredients into a basin, then rub in butter.
- Mix to a firm dough.
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes before grating over the slice.
- Bake 10-15 minutes in a moderate oven.
- Cool in tin before slicing.
