Pecan Squares

Ingredients

  • 125g butter
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 tbsp golden syrup
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups brown sguar
  • icing sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups SR flour

Method

  • Preheat oven to 180C
  • Grease a lamington pan.
  • Melt together the butter, syrup and sugar.
  • Bring to the boil and then remove from heat.
  • Stir in sifted flour and nuts.
  • Add eggs and mix well.
  • Bake in moderate oven for approx 25 minutes.
  • Dust with icing sugar
